The Newark-Bellevue site is looking for an experienced
Process Safety Management (PSM) Site & PHA Lead to support the Newark-CMPT and Vespel sites.

This position in intended to be located at the
Newark-CMPT site.

The DuPont PSM management system requires each site to have a PSM Committee consisting of 13 PSM spokes.

This job includes 2 PSM roles: 1.) Site PSM Committee Leader and 2.) Process Hazard Analysis spoke lead.


Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the site PSM committee.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for organization PSM element teams.
  • Conduct regular meetings of the site PSM committee to develop annual accountabilities and to develop programs to accomplish these accountabilities.
  • Maintain a site database or other means to retain PSM committee documents, actions, issues, meeting minutes and accomplishments.
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Dust Hazards Analyses (DHA).
  • Ensuring site PHA recommendation tracking for timely closure
  • Ensuring PHA's are scheduled and conducted in compliance with Dupont Standard's) which ensures compliance with local or country regulations.
  • Ensure the overall site PSM Manual conforms to the DuPont Standard S21A and local country or regional regulations.
  • Ensure each site process is adequately reviewed and classified as either High Hazard Process or Low Hazard Operation per DuPont standard and the overall accuracy and completeness of the sitewide facility siting overview.
  • Work with PSM spoke leaders help ensure the site is adequately prepared for a second party PSM audit or regulatory inspection of process safety management procedures, compliance, and documentation.
  • Conduct audits routinely with strong visibility and engagement with employees.
  • Report corporate PSM metrics.
  • Review Process Safety data analysis of Process Safety metrics.
  • Providing periodic review of site PSM performance (leading indicators)
  • Participate in the corporate PSM Network including issuing periodic site summary reports and networking.

Qualifications:


  • BS Engineering discipline with focus on Safety or Health, related field, or other relevant equivalent work experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of industry expertise with increasing knowledge, understanding, and implementation of PSM programs.
  • Extensive experience in higherhazard chemical process manufacturing environments, such as handling flammables, toxics, reactive chemistry, high temperature and heat, burner management systems, and combustible dusts.
  • Knowledge of and experience with regulatory Process Safety requirements, protocols, and systems.
  • Experience in facilitating PHAs, Site-Wide Facility Siting and DHAs
  • Experience (or will complete training when available) for performing PHA quantitative consequence analysis (CA) estimates using computer software such as PHAST, VCE, BEAST and various spreadsheet tools.
  • Qualified Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) practitioner or will obtain LOPA qualification.
  • Familiarity with "PHA Works" software preferred.
  • Strong influential leadership achieving strong, sustained systems and processes that support compliance.
  • PSM Auditing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to support, complex, timesensitive projects.
  • Experience in coaching, training, networking, and facilitation.
  • Communicate effectively, orally (public speaking) and in writing to audiences at all levels within DuPont and potentially to external agencies.
