    SUMMARY:

    This provider will serve as part of the Adams 12 Bilingual Consultation and Psychologist Assessment Teams as well as provide direct services and other IEP duties as needed for students with interim services, students in out of district placements without educational services, and Homebound students as needed.

    They will provide a range of services for students who demonstrate difficulties with learning, academic achievement, social/emotional functioning, and behavior.

    This provider will serve as a psycho-educational service provider involved in proactive, preventative activities, as well as responding to identified concerns and collaborating with school teams to benefit diverse learners.

    Provide services based on a combination of problem-solving, consultative, and direct service models.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Bilingual Consultation & Psych Assessment Team Responsibilities

    • Guided by an understanding of and experience with Multilingual Learners, diverse learners, and development of language acquisition for schoolaged students, this psychologist will use researchbased and technically sound practices to drive decisionmaking and interventions. This psychologist will also collaborate and consult with school personnel and parents in order to develop and modify student intervention strategies.
    • Consult with schoolteams on functional assessment of behavior (FBA) and designs/implements and progress monitors intervention plans.
    • Conducts, interprets and implements student assessment which includes record review, interview, observation, and standardized assessment with a particular emphasis on Multilingual Learners.
    • Administers and interprets normreferenced and curriculumbased edumetric and psychological assessment measures with a particular emphasis on Multilingual Learners.
    • Participates in teambased followup activities to review student progress, analyze data, and consult with teams on modifying individual interventions.
    • Serve as liaison among district building(s), families and community and collaborates with various teams to assure positive outcomes for all learners. This includes an emphasis on collaboration with teams of Multilingual Learners.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary staffings & provide consultation to determine the eligibility, appropriate planning, and reevaluation for students who require special education services/programs. Specifically those students whose primary language is other than English.
    • Comply with Student Support Services and district policies and procedures (e.g., Medicaid billing, accident reporting).
    • Provides consultation to school psychologists regarding psychological evaluations of Multilingual Learners.
    • Conducts psychological evaluations of multilingual students, and collaborate with schoolbased special education teams on assessment planning, interpretation, and intervention planning for Multilingual Learners
    • Participates in the development and review of IEP goals, objectives, and services through IEP teams. Provides consultation to school psychologists and staff regarding developing IEP goals, objectives, and services with a particular focus on Multilingual Learners.
    • Plans for students with special needs involving cultural and linguistic diversity, sensory deficits, neuropsychological issues, communication, social skills, and emotional conditions. Provides consultation to school psychologists and staff regarding second language acquisition.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Direct Services for Interim/Homebound

    • Provide direct services per student's IEP and other IEP duties as needed for the following student groups:
    • Students with interim services virtual or in home
    • Students in out of district placements without educational services, and
    • Homebound students in the student's home

    EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Master's degree or higher in school psychology or Ed.

    • Minimum of 1 year experience as a school psychologist.
    • An understanding of and experience with Multilingual Learners, diverse learners, and development of language acquisition for schoolaged students.
    • Bilingual preferred
    • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

    LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Criminal background check required for hire.
    • Must possess, or be able to obtain from, or be in process with, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for a valid Colorado Educator License within 30 days of hire.
    • Must possess the required license and endorsement.
    If highly qualified by content test or semester hours, with no endorsement:

    applicant must possess a Colorado educator license license with a passing score on a CDE approved content test or 24 semester hours in specific core content classes as determined by Human Resources.

    Preference given to bilingual candidates and/or candidates with ELL Training and/or an ESL or (LDE) Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement.


    SALARY INFORMATION (FOR EXTERNAL CANDIDATES):
    All salary placement on ourCertified Salary schedule ) is dependent on the employees' education and/or work experience.


    Special programs teachers of students with -significant support needs, structured learning services or affective needs, audiologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school nurses, school psychologists, school social workers, and speech language pathologists shall receive experience credit for each full year of previous experience and are not limited to ten (10) years as described in Appendix A, Item 3.


    Additionally, one (1) step for each full year, as described in this Appendix, of service in the district as a contracted certified, classified, in-building substitute, and/or administrative employee for educators beginning a new certified contract or returning to a certified contract.
