Development Coordinator (Part-Time):

Role Overview:
Tufts Hillel seeks an enthusiastic, highly organized professional with exceptional communication skills to serve as our Development Coordinator. The Coordinator will actively impact many critical, behind-the-scenes aspects of running our $800k+ annual fund. He/she/they will report to the Director of Development, assisting in key aspects of fundraising for our vibrant Hillel. This year-round, hybrid position is 20 hours per week.
In addition to providing administrative support, which includes activities such as:
- Creating and sending weekly gift acknowledgments
- Processing payments and reimbursements
- Scheduling meetings for the Director of Development and Executive Director
- Processing gifts and managing the donor database
- Organizing and ordering supplies
- Editing internal and external communications
- Creating reports and presenting fundraising data
The Coordinator will, for example:
- Assist with event planning and logistics
- Serve as a vendor liaison
The Coordinator will frequently interact with Hillel staff, students, donors, outside vendors, and members of the wider Tufts University community.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and skills typically acquired through a Bachelor's Degree and 13 years of experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Demonstratable ability to manage concurrent activities, work under pressure, and be adaptable to changing priorities
- Interest in advancing the Tufts Hillel mission
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of the Jewish community and Jewish practices
- Experience with a donor database
