Description
The Office of Student Access and Accommodations seeks a Testing Proctor to proctor and administer exams for the department.

Exam Proctoring (80%)

  • Administer and proctor exams
  • Follow specific directions/instructions regarding exams as specified by faculty and supervisor
  • Be physically and mentally alert and observant during exams
  • Oversee exam completion, collect exams from students, and deliver exams to appropriate departments
  • Maintain the integrity of the testing room; abide by and uphold policies and procedures
  • Thorough, prompt communication with students, faculty and staff
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of the department
  • Communicate with supervisor if there is an issue
Department/Division Support (20%)

  • Attend ongoing proctor training and division wide retreats
  • Assist with record keeping and office communication
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
  • Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment

Required:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and as a member of a professional team, establishing strong working relationships across campus constituencies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential materials and maintain confidentiality when working on specific tasks or projects
  • Articulate, professional, communication skills both written and verbal; ability to effectively communicate with students, faculty, and staff
  • Proficiency with reading and understanding printed material
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

Preferred:


  • Experience proctoring/administering exams.

Physical Requirements:


  • Typical office or administrative working conditions. Staff is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Work is primarily sedentary in nature; there are no special physical demands.
  • Ability to move between offices and floors of buildings and navigate around classrooms.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during scheduled work hours and to work some evenings and weekends
  • Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction)
  • Ability to lift up to 510 lbs
