OVERALL
EVERYDAY ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
- Verify the vehicle is loaded accurately, including "Add-Ons," before leaving with invoices/stops for the day.
- Indicate expected arrival time at any supermarket stops that are regularly merchandised on the appropriate log.
- Collect redeemable products such as empty kegs and empty cases to be returned and/or recycled.
- Record sales or delivery information on daily delivery record.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Place stock in an area designated by the customer, making sure that stock is properly rotated for freshness and draught beer is stored in a refrigerated area.
- Obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Clean inside of the vehicle.
- Check out the vehicle and inventory (fulls, empties, breakage, Cold Plates, pallets, etc.) with supervision upon return to the warehouse. Put this inventory in the appropriate place in the warehouse as necessary.
- Inspect vehicle, record findings, topoff any fluids (including air as needed) before leaving each morning.
- Deliver signed invoices, cash, and checks to the office to be "cashed out."
- Inspect and complete the daily checklist for delivery vehicles to ensure the vehicle is in good repair and safe to drive.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while engaged with customers.
- Drives safely and maintains a valid driver's license.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Professional and courteous
- Ability to use an electric pallet jack
- General writing and math skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide a DOT medical card
- Superior attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for ASB products
- Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
- Physically fit with ability to repetitively lift up to 165 lbs. consistently throughout the day
- Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods
- Able to maneuver on uneven ground
- Able to read and follow written English instructions
- Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and crawl on occasion
- Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds on regularly and up to 165 pounds occasionally using appropriate techniques and tools
- Able to safely navigate crowded spaces
- Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors
- Computer literate
- Able to drive motor vehicles

ABOUT ALVARADO STREET BREWERY
Alvarado Street Brewery was founded by father-son duo John and J.C. Hill in March of 2014.
What started as a neighborhood brewery restaurant in Downtown Monterey has evolved into four locations dedicated to serving Monterey county's locals and visitors alike.
Our production brewery & tasting room opened in the Spreckels Junction area of Salinas in 2016. In early 2018 we opened our R&D pilot brewery and bistro in Carmel-by-the-Sea, known as the "Stro".Most recently in November of 2022, we opened Alvarado on Main, an art deco styled restaurant and bar in the center of Oldtown Salinas.
