JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Head of Accounting (m/f/d) who independently prepares monthly financial statements and assists in the preparation of annual financial statements according to German GAAP (HGB) in cooperation with the tax office.

In addition, you will support the commercial manager in leading the team.

HEAD OF ACCOUNTING - YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ALSO INCLUDE:

Processing of ongoing financial accounting, including booking and reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts.
Preparation of monthly sales tax returns and other legally required reports.
You analyze, clarify and process balance sheet and tax-related issues.
You are the contact person for tax consultants and auditors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - YOUR PROFILE:

Completed commercial training as an industrial clerk (m/f/d) or tax clerk with further training as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter).
Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a leadership role.
Good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax law.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in German and good knowledge of English.
