    Kelly Science & Clinical is looking for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join a top-notch client in San Diego, CA for a contract-to-hire position.

    $30-35/hour+ Depending on Experience
    Overview
    This client is a leading biotech company dedicated to enhancing human health through innovative neuroprotective therapeutics.

    Renowned for its pioneering methods in treating prevalent, sight-threatening conditions with limited treatment options, this client is at the forefront of innovation.

    In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to support AAV production and analytics tasks, including plasmid cloning, vector production, analytical testing, and lab management.

    This position offers a chance to contribute to the development of breakthrough gene therapy solutions, aiding in the delivery of groundbreaking treatments to patients and their families.


    Work Schedule:
    Day Shift

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Cultivating cells and managing cell cultures for viral production and cell-based tests.
    - Producing AAV vectors and performing analytical tests such as ddPCR, DLS, and ELISAs.
    - Engaging in genetic analysis like cloning and propagating plasmid DNA, as well as standard molecular diagnostic procedures.
    - Overseeing general lab duties like inventory upkeep and equipment maintenance.
    - Collaborating on experiment design, protocol drafting, and report creation within a team environment.
    - Maintaining precise and thorough experimental records in digital lab logs.

    Requirements:
    - Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related field strongly preferred.
    - 3-4 years of lab experience in molecular or cell-based research; or 1-2 years with a Master's degree.

    Hands-on experience with plasmid cloning, propagation, and nucleic acid/protein analysis methods like qPCR/ddPCR, western blotting, ELISA, etc.

    - Proficiency in aseptic techniques and mammalian cell culture.
    - Proficient in recording lab data in written or digital formats.
    - Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
    - Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
    - Good interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.
