Guardian Fire Protection Services has been an industry leader for fire protection services in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC area for over 40 years.

We are based in Rockville, MD and have an excellent team of nearly 100 employees who are responsible for the design, installation, and inspection of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood/duct systems.

We have an extensive customer base with over 10,000 fire systems that we perform recurring inspection and repair services throughout the region.

About The Position

Training
The company will provide training on the design and full functionality of Fire Alarm Systems.

It is a requirement in this position to have a complete understanding of how the systems function and that they are designed per manufacturer and NFPA specifications.


Salary is hourly and based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Review inspection reports and noncompliance documentation to thoroughly understand the deficiency.
  • Prepare quotes for the proper repair, replacement or system upgrade required to provide proper fire protection.
  • Contact customers to thoroughly explain the repair quote and why it is needed to bring their fire system into code compliance and ultimately get the customers written approval to complete the repair.
  • Ensure that all noncompliances are reported to customers and quoted within a specified time so that the company is protected from liability exposure related to the deficiency and customers are aware of the life safety risk.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills.
  • Prior experience in a commercial services company preferred, but not required.
  • Must learn the design and functionality of Restaurant Kitchen Fire Suppression systems.
  • Be extremely organized and very detailed in your work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with multiple coworkers to answer questions, speak to customers and ensure timely responses are given.
  • Must communicate very well with coworkers and customers, especially in writing very detailed explanations of the necessary repairs.
  • Must have a successful history of developing relationships with customers.
  • Proven ability to oversee an essential business function and meet goals/deadlines.
  • Must be goal oriented and highly motivated to meet department objectives and process and sell as many repair quotes as possible.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing field preferred, but not required.
