    Description


    Innophos is searching for a Maintenance Planner to optimize the shareholders assets and optimize availability of the various production units with minimal downtime through planning and coordination of the daily activities of hourly maintenance personnel at our Chicago Heights, IL manufacturing site.

    Key ResponsibilitiesSafety and Health Responsible for maintaining the Safety & Health standards, actively participating in employee safety training, hazard prevention and control, worksite analysis, and exercising management leadershipResponsible for conducting pre-job safety reviews with contractors as necessaryQuality and Food Safety Perform training for both salary and hourly personnel as requiredOversee MOC process as it relates to the tasks of the positionFulfill responsibilities which ensure food safety, legality, and qualityPerform as designee for the Maintenance Manager position in the absence of the responsible personPerform as designee for the Maintenance Coordinator position(s) in the absence of the responsible personPlanning/Schedule, Communication Direct and schedule the human and material resources to maintain plant operabilityProvide short- and long-term Maintenance plans to meet the needs of the businessBuild and maintain a backlog of "ready-to-schedule" kitted work for mechanical and electrical maintenance teamsChair meetings, collaborate with Production Coordinators & Engineers to develop detailed plans and schedules for shutdowns and/or turnaroundsSource and coordinate contractors, service providers and vendors as required to complete work and projectsMaintain communication between the production and maintenance departments in order to set priorities to meet production plan requirements Collaborate & work closely with production coordinators & engineers when planning & scheduling shutdownsMaintain equipment master file and bills of material and preventive maintenance schedule in the CMMS Collaborate with Storeroom personnel to ensure parts are ordered, charged out, and re-ordered in a timely fashionPreventative Maintenance Implement long term solutions to recurrent problems beyond the day-to-day work to reduce downtime in process unitsEnsure that all parts, tools and information are available for planned shutdowns and emergency breakdownsCorrective Maintenance Investigate equipment failures to help identify root cause and implement long-term solutionProjectImplement improvement projects (scope, cost estimation, request capital money, supervision of fieldwork, commissioning)


    General Work with plant teams to achieve plant objectivesPerform other tasks as assignedRequired Education and ExperienceGED/High School Diploma RequiredBachelors Degree Preferred7 or more years of experience in Industrial Maintenance and supervision Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have a strong commitment to safetyGood communication skills both written and oral including technical writing abilityStrong computer skills including Word, Excel, and knowledge of CMMSAutoCAD experience would be a plusStrong ability to estimate, plan, schedule and complete work orders and projectsUnionized environment experienceAbility to efficiently manage contractors, service suppliers, and vendors to accomplish business objectivesSupervisory Responsibilities Number of indirectly employees supervised: 24Environmental and/or Physical Requirements Constant Office WorkFrequent Climbing Ladders/Stairs, Standing, Bending, Temperature Changes, Plant Field VisitsOccasional lifting (avg 20 lbs- 70 lbs max), Squatting, Operates Mobile Equipment (Cushman/Pickup Truck)Rarely operates heavy equipmentAbout InnophosInnophos is a leading international producer of specialty ingredient solutions that deliver far-reaching, versatile benefits for the food, health, nutrition and industrial markets.
