    Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our service team as a Senior Operations Analyst

    About the role

    Responsible for Operations functions involving various products. Maintains a high degree of initiative and advanced knowledge of our products, operations and the Symetra organization. Works independently on day-to-day activities which include procedure document management, and key performance metrics. Responsible for the team's most complex assignments and projects and demonstrates advanced ability to lead those assignments and projects to successful completion. Maintains a close alignment with various internal partners which may include business analysts, department management, law and compliance, and IT. Acts as a mentor and trainer in the development of other team members.

    What you'll do in this role
    • Creation and maintenance of procedures and processes, identifies and implements ideas for improved efficiency.
    • Provides consultative guidance on creative solutions for exception processing.
    • Lead and facilitate large and complex operations-based projects that will focus on system changes, process improvements, product enhancements and launches, legal and compliance updates, and other assignments.
    • Implementation with a heavy focus on form creation and process implementation and representing operations for new and existing compliance enhancements for your functional area and product line.
    • Operational duties including but are not limited to the generation and analysis of department metrics that measures the effectiveness and proficiency of the operational teams. Will provide insight and recommended improvements to Managers and internal business partners, including but not limited to Finance, Sales, Legal, and Compliance.
    • Build and maintain working relationships with vendors and sales professionals.
    • Process and analyze compensation of sales functions.

    Compensation

    Hourly Salary Range: $56,000- $94,300 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

    Who you are
    • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
    • Have a solid understanding of compensation related to sales and commissions
    • Works independently; receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
    • Provides consultative advice within specific functional areas. May have some mentor/lead responsibilities.
    • This position will have inside contact with multiple business units throughout Symetra including Operations Management, Senior and Sales Leadership.
    • Maintains a close alignment with various internal partners which may include business analysts, department management, law and compliance, and IT.
    • Outside contact with Policyholders, Brokers, Third Party Administrators, and Vendors.
