We are currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team:

POSITION SUMMARY

A Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for assisting in patient care delivery by following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and provide patient education based on their competencies.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in assessing patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in healthcare and housing units.
Help in planning and implementing individual treatment programs with input from healthcare professionals.
Administer medications and interventions per physician instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with supervisors and physicians.
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and wellbeing.
Collaborate with the healthcare team and assist in orientation and supervision when needed.
Oversee inmates in environmental maintenance tasks.
Perform vital sign measurements, dressings changes, and daily living activities support.
Meet job-related requirements as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work in the medical unit of a correctional facility.

Job Requirements:

TRAVEL: None

LICENSING: Current state LPN license

CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification

EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited nursing school

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of clinical experience
