- Provide supervision to the team around service coordination, documentation, development of IFSPs, clinical issues, transitions, and working with families. Arrange regularly scheduled supervision meetings with individual team members
- Assist team members with time management, productivity, and scheduling
- Review and edit team report writing/IFSPs. Provide appropriate feedback to staff to promote staff development in this area
- Work with the team to develop a sense of cohesion, teamwork, and team support. Work with the team members when in conflict
- Meet with Small Teams on a weekly basis
- Meet with other Team Leaders and the Program Director weekly to assign new clients, identify team issues, identify training needs, and discuss relevant information for communication to team members
- Participate in the orientation of new team members
- Understand and help in the implementation of the Massachusetts DPH Operational Standards
- Provide support for Staff during the Early Intervention Specialist Certification process
- Complete Annual Staff Evaluations/Reviews
- Take on a service coordinator role, conduct home visits, and provide developmental activities and family support
- Maintain required productivity
- Participate in parent and/or child groups if indicated
- Participate as a member of the Evaluation Team, providing one's clinical expertise and using the opportunity to support and train team members in the development of evaluation/assessment skills
- Participate in IFSP development, sharing one's clinical expertise, and support and train staff in the IFSP meeting process
- Complete, in a timely manner, all relevant paperwork, including, IFSP and IFSP updates, activity sheets, and progress notes
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings, in-services, and team meetings
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries; promote client confidentiality and exhibit flexibility and teamwork
- Demonstrate sensitivity to/awareness of the diversity of families and staff (cultural, economic, educational, and language)
- Communicate relevant information with Director and team members regarding daily work, schedule, and families
- Maintain a positive approach by respecting and valuing the contributions of co-workers, contributing input focused on the improvement of the program, and willingness to participate in special projects and initiatives
- Accept feedback on performance, appropriately handle differences of opinion, and communicate directly with others
- Meet expected paperwork timelines, be prompt for meetings and home visits, and follow through on commitments in a timely manner
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, manage to be flexible and creative when necessary

Job DescriptionPOSITION DETAILS:
We are currently seeking an experienced and resourceful EI Clinician to join our Thom Boston Metro Early Intervention located in Boston, Massachusetts in the capacity of a TEAM LEADER. This position is an integral part of Thom's Boston leadership team. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week exempt position and reports to the Program Director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree in an Early Intervention relevant discipline and three years of experience working with young children and their families. Certified or working toward certification as an Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS). Maintain appropriate licenses and certifications as required by Early Intervention Operational Standards and Agency policies, including CPR and First Aid. Work a full-time salaried position.
