    Ocean Reef Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an inspirational and engaging Performing Arts Teacher to further develop a culture of excellence in teaching and learning in our Arts Learning Area

    The successful applicant will ideally have an in depth understanding of the Performing Arts. The skills and ability to teach both Drama and Dance within the West Australian Curriculum requirements with a Musical Theatre focus will be highly regarded. You will join an experienced and supportive team focussed on student achievement and outcomes. The successful applicant should engage students in a journey of discovery, experimentation and problem-solving. Capacity to engage students in a creative journey utilising visual techniques, technologies, practices and processes is highly desirable. The successful applicant should also possess the skills and ability to build strong working relationships with both staff and students in order to create performance opportunities for Musical Theatre within our context, supporting our thriving Specialist Music Program.

    You will ideally engage in reflective practice, have a strong evidence-based teaching approach, and be committed to Ocean Reef SHS whole-school pedagogical approaches. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and promote an environment of active and positive learning are also a strong focus for the position.
