The Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau GmbH is looking for a mask maker (m/f/d) starting from August 15th, 2024.

The Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau GmbH (GHT) operates a four-part theater at its locations in Görlitz and Zittau, and also performs on stages throughout the cultural region of Upper Lusatia/Lower Silesia, as well as in neighboring regions in the tri-border area between Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

With around 150,000 spectators per year, it is the most important player in the performing arts in Upper Lusatia.

It maintains diverse relationships with neighboring institutions in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic and sees itself as a theater in the heart of Europe.

For the location in Görlitz, with a focus on opera, dance, and concerts, we are looking for a mask maker (m/f/d) starting from August 15th, 2024.

Responsibilities:

Implementation of all tasks related to mask design and hair work according to the instructions of the stage and costume designers or under the direction of the head of the makeup department
Preparation and supervision of rehearsals and performances
Makeup and hairstyling for actors/actresses and assistance during performances

Working hours:
flexible, including weekends and holidays (depending on the performance schedule)
