About Us:
America's Recycling Company is a fast-growing waste management company dedicated to sustainability and community service. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Yard Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for a confident team player with strong leadership skills and a passion for efficient operations.


Role Overview:
As a Yard Supervisor, you will oversee the daily activities at our yard, ensuring efficient operations and safety compliance.

You will manage a team, coordinate with various stakeholders, and contribute to our company's steady growth by optimizing yard processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shift Management: Evaluate and schedule shifts for yard personnel to maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Workload Supervision: Assess and assign workloads to create an efficient workflow, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Material Oversight: Supervise the dumping of materials, ensuring proper handling and compliance with regulations.
• Team Leadership: Oversee daily activities of yard personnel, providing direction and support as needed.
• Inventory Management: Conduct frequent inventory checks of yard supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Timekeeping: Control overtime, monitor breaks, and ensure accurate time tracking.
• Reporting: Analyze and prepare thorough daily reports on yard activities and performance.
• Customer Coordination: Address customer concerns promptly and effectively, maintaining positive relationships.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and PPE requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Equipment Maintenance: Identify, address, and report mechanical issues of equipment, coordinating repairs as necessary.
• Vendor Coordination: Process vendor paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Operations Collaboration: Work closely with the operations manager to ensure successful yard performance.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong analytical skills to solve problems and improve yard operations.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members and stakeholders.
• Bilingual: Spanish speaking is preferred.

Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor at a plant or yard
• At least 3 years in a managerial position
• Experience in a waste facility is a plus

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Exposure to various weather conditions (cold, heat, sun, rain, etc.)
• Long hours of standing and moving around the yard
• Ability to lift heavy objects
