    Job Description:


    BigFoot Staffing is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual with a background in Business or Supply Chain to support one of our clients temporarily.

    This role involves managing the entire planning and purchase-to-pay process for assigned suppliers and won't include much customer service.


    Essential Job Duties:


    • Collaborate effectively with team members to build and support a strong team environment, offering assistance as needed.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
    • Conduct all activities with the highest degree of ethics and honesty both within RMC and externally.
    • Provide urgent and appropriate communication with relevant staff when challenges arise.
    • Manage purchase order demands based on thorough planning review, ERP signal validation, current production priorities, and special management directives.
    • Ensure supplier confirmations are accurately and promptly reflected in the ERP system.
    • Daily management of ERP shortage lists, finding effective and quick solutions to address shortages.
    • Conduct second sourcing research, bidding, approval, and implementation.
    • Maintain accuracy between purchase order data, supplier invoice data, and supplier packing slip data, coordinating corrections with RMC Receiving and RMC Accounting as needed.
    • Continuously seek cost reduction ideas and opportunities, incorporating the question "how can I save the company money?" into every purchasing decision.
    • Work closely with production and engineering to manage schedule revisions, component substitutions, obsolescence, and customer change requests impacting purchased parts.
    • Regularly review inventory levels for assigned part numbers, finding acceptable ways to reduce or reallocate inventory.
    • Conduct Parts Sales activities with timely challenge resolution, proper order care, appropriate logistics care, and a focus on diplomacy and professionalism.
    • Manage small individual departmental projects.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Physical Demands:


    • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
    • Majority of work is performed sitting at a desk/computer and using the phone.

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in a businessrelated field preferred or a combination of education and related experience.
    • 1 to 3 years of prior buying experience.

    Required Skills:


    • Strong communication skills with an ability to manage urgency appropriately.
    • Organized planning and critical thinking abilities.
    • Professional customer service skills.
    • Effective negotiation strategies.
    • Proficiency in MS Office products.
    • Knowledge of LEAN principles and ERP systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure with short deadlines.
    • Talent for multitasking.
    • Experience in inventory reduction.

    Preferred Skills:


    • Knowledge in mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical trades.
    • Prior customer service experience.
    • Experience using Smartsheet.
    • Ability to reason and solve practical problems, dealing with a variety of issues.
    • Experience in problem definition, data collection, facts establishment, and conclusion/solution development as part of a root cause and corrective action methodology.
