- Builds collaborative partnerships with leadership across the organization to support consistent delivery of HR programs and processes that directly contribute to achieving Store Operations business goals.?
- Leads a team of 6-9 Regional Human Resources Managers to oversee Family Dollars strategic talent management processes. This includes bench strength development, advice and counsel and succession planning. Provides outstanding customer service and consistency in such areas as performance management.?
- Partners with 2 Store Operations Zone Vice Presidents in the development of strategic group workforce plans. Establishes and implements strategic short and long-range programs to improve retention of stores Associates and Field Management. Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and is proactive in implementing changes and updates as required.?
- Represents Store Operations and Field Managers in cross functional, strategic planning sessions with Store Support Center Teams to ensure new programs and processes are successfully deployed. ?
- Supports the deployment, communication, change management and ongoing sustainability of new policies, programs and critical company initiatives for Store Operations Leadership and Field Managers.?
- Evaluates HR Reports/dashboards to highlight key HR trends and leads the efforts to highlight and improve such trends as necessary.?
- Oversees the Regional HR Managers coordination and facilitation of focus group sessions, train-the trainer sessions, classroom sessions, HIPO, MAP program, Training Manager Certification sessions and webinars for Store Operations to include Group Sales meetings, instructor-led leadership development, job skill development and talent and performance management. ?
- Maintains a current working knowledge of HR best practices, as well as State, Federal, and local laws as they pertain to the human resource function in their areas of the country. Assists with ensuring a high level of compliance in their areas.?

Summary of Position?
The Director, Store Operations HR for Family Dollar serves as an HR Business Partner providing strategic leadership for all HR functional activities for 2 operational groups consisting of 2,000-3,000 retail stores supporting approximately 25,000 40,000 associates. This includes succession planning, performance management, total rewards/compensation, associate relations, workforce stabilization, advice and counsel, communications and new company initiatives. The Director leads Human Resources programs and objectives that contribute to an Associate oriented, strong Company culture that emphasizes building customer loyalty and experience, developing diverse high performing teams, and driving continuous improvement. Participates in strategic HR planning and policy development and develops and maintains strong working relationships with Store Operations leadership and Store Support Center HR departments.?
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:?

Education: Bachelor degree (BA/BS) in Business, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred; SPHR/PHR a plus.?
Experience: 8-10 year's of Human Resources experience within a multi-unit retail environment or related industry. Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, team relations, safety, and training and development.
Job Related Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. High level of confidentiality and organizational skills. ?
MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL 75-80%.
