    JOB SUMMARY:

    As a Medical Director, Denials Management, you will evaluate hospitalizations nationwide by leveraging your medical expertise and serving as a trusted advisor to client hospitals. Your responsibilities will include conducting clinical case reviews and offering recommendations focused on establishing appropriate admission statuses.     Your Schedule:

    Training (First 3-4 weeks):

    • Training sessions from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM ET

    After Completion of Training:

    • Monday to Friday schedule, ranging from 8 AM to 5 PM ET to 10 AM to 7 PM ET
    • Each shift will be 9 hours long, including a dedicated one-hour break
    • Expectation of one 6-hour weekend shift every 6 weeks for peer-to-peer case preparation

    Working at CorroHealth:

    • All essential hardware and software are provided to our Medical Directors
    • You have the option to work remotely in a comfortable setting

    In This Role You Will:

    • Conduct Peer-to-Peer case discussions with payer medical directors
    • Leverage clinical expertise to identify key aspects during a case review
    • Perform focused real-time and post-discharge hospital case reviews in the hospital's EMR
    • Identify areas for process enhancements and inefficiencies
    • Undertake assigned duties and projects

    Do You Have What It Takes?

    • MD or DO degree with substantial clinical knowledge
    • Active unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
    • Specialization in Adult Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Nephrology, or Infectious Disease required; Board certification preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care adult hospital experience within the past 5 years or relevant physician advisor experience
    • Familiarity with hospital EMRs
    • Proficient in computer skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Team-oriented mindset

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Regular eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are necessary for operating office equipment. The ability to work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours daily amid continual interruptions is vital. Team Members may be required to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift items up to 20 lbs. Stress levels may rise during peak activity periods and with multiple deadlines.
