Maintains the Forest Highlands experience by keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass while removing garbage. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs.


Essential Functions:


  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Service, clean and supply restrooms
  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies
  • Perform laundry duties
  • Gather and empty trash then transport to disposal areas
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, kitchens, offices, security and administrative areas
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, baseboards, walls, window blinds, window sills, doors, door jams, kick plates, woodwork, and mirror using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, rags and squeegees
  • Dust furniture, pictures, fixtures, machines and equipment
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Follow safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Follow safety procedures in using masks, goggles and gloves
  • Move heavy furniture including tables, couches, chairs and other as needed
  • Lift, move or use equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Notify managers concerning the need for repairs
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance
  • Refill all containers in restrooms and other public areas
  • Complete other duties as requested by Supervisor or Department Managers

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:


  • Two years of High School or High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Six months or more related experience
  • Valid Drivers License

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, vendors/suppliers, the general public and other employees of the Company.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Judgment and Decision Making:

Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
