Product Engineering Manager


FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt


Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician will work with Manufacturing and Engineering to document processes throughout the facility.


Essential Responsibilities:

-
Time Studies:


  • Preform time study as needed
  • Complete time studies on assigned areas to include production capacity or defect pareto charts as needed
  • Properly maintains time study files to ensure accuracy

Standard work:


  • Create and complete training documents on new processes or new equipment
  • Work with Engineering and Production to develop standard work for assigned areas
  • Properly maintain standard work files to ensure accuracy

Engineering Masters:


  • Work with Engineering to document jobs into engineering masters
  • Assist Graphics to deliver engineering masters to Supply Chain

Production:


  • Assist production needs as required
  • Provide critical defect data and possible solutions
  • Work closely with Supervisor and Quality on an order by order basis to understand the daily needs

Other Important Responsibilities:


  • Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant project situations
  • Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness Programs
  • Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned

Physical qualifications and work environment:


  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs;
  • Must be able to sustain office work for 8+ hours per day including the following:
  • Sitting in an office chair
  • Typing
  • Reaching for the telephone
  • Standing at office equipment
  • Hearing for phone use
  • Sight for computer use
  • Must be able to sustain factory work as needed including the following:
  • Standing at machinery
  • Reaching and pulling to operate machinery
  • Sight for machinery operation
  • Walking through shop
  • Office environment is of moderate noise level
  • Shop noise levels are such that protective earcoverings are recommended
