- Direct and supervise employees engaged in inspection and quality control procedures to ensure standards are met.
- Plan and delegate tasks to team members.
- Enhance inspection equipment for quality control standards.
- Analyze and resolve problems efficiently within established practices.
- Maintain inspection reports and records.
- Identify causes of faulty work and provide corrective recommendations.
- Promote discipline, morale, and teamwork among staff.
- Address personnel issues and make recommendations on hiring, promotions, and terminations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years in aerospace quality assurance.
- Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with precision inspection equipment and calibration.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials and processes.
- Knowledge of Dimensional Inspection and GD&T.
- Proficiency in AS9100 systems, internal audits, customer audits, NADCAP processes.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Effective time management and analytical thinking.
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoys the challenges of the dynamic Aerospace industry.
- Work primarily indoors in office and manufacturing settings.
- Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Regular sitting, talking, and listening.
- Frequent use of hands and occasional standing and walking.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision required for the job.
