"Hermitage is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on August 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3-year apprenticeship program as a train driver (railway employee in operational service, specializing in train driving/transport) (m/f/d) at DB Fernverkehr AG in Frankfurt (Main). The vocational school classes will take place in block form at the Heinrich-Kleyer-Schule, also located in Frankfurt am Main.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will be working in long-distance travel, operating our long-distance trains (ICE / IC / EC)
  • At the beginning of your apprenticeship, you will learn what you need to pay attention to in order to safely and punctually drive the trains from A to B
  • Step by step, you will also be able to drive the trains yourself, with your instructors always by your side
  • You will get to know many different routes through nature, cities, and train stations, all while enjoying the best view
  • If there are any deviations or changes in train operations, you will learn how to inform our passengers through the loudspeakers
