Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, one of the top-tier, luxury appliance retailers in Calabasas, is seeking a PART TIME/FULL TIME RECEPTIONIST with a great attitude.

You must have a pleasant personality as well as being a natural multitasker, able to deal with client showroom issues in a timely and effective manner.


In this role, you will welcome guests and members of the design and construction trade by greeting them when they visit.

You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including redirecting phone calls as well as offering administrative and special in-store event support.


Your Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive in the showroom.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate sales person.
  • Maintain Digital Price tags for store displays.
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls, return phone calls on behalf of sales people.
  • Handling inbound and outbound mail, receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Scanning, photocopying and filing documents.
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments.
  • Collect and process payments for Purchases and Services
  • Managing Calendar of deliveries and installations.
  • Check showroom voice messages each morning, after lunch and routinely throughout the day

Requirements:


  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, word processing and database software.
  • Handson experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting procedures and good math aptitude
  • Perform various administrative duties as assigned by the Showroom General Manager.
  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal/communication skills. Professional demeanor and office etiquette
  • Punctual with strong attendance history
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines
  • No experience necessary, though 12 years of clerical, customer service, administrative experience is preferred.

We employ an expert team of sales professionals and operate out of four showrooms in Studio City, Calabasas, Costa Mesa and Torrance, as well as online.
