- You will obtain vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, calorie counts, apply ice/heat as directed, and perform simple non-sterile dressing changes.
- You will perform safe patient handling that may include turning and positioning, use of specialty beds, patient transfer, assistance walking, oxygen use and suction use.
- You are responsible and accountable for providing patient care under the direct supervision of the physician and/or RN/Charge RN in accordance with physicians orders, and established policy and procedure.
- You will facilitate patient transfer to floors, and assist with patient flow.
- You will accurately document the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner.
- You will identify and proactively communicate any changes in patient condition, results, behavior, observations, or complaints and reports to RN/Charge RN/LPN.
- Administers and documents prescribed medications to patients in accordance with hospital policies and practice guidelines.
- Takes report from EMS.
- Must be a graduate of approved Paramedic program.
- Current State of Florida Paramedic License
- American Heart Association ACL, BLS, PALS
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required for Behavioral Health
- One year experience as Paramedic in the field or Hospital setting preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Paramedic for our Emergency Department Team. As our Paramedic, you will perform basic patient care services related to nursing care under the supervision of the ER nurse (RN). You will also assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked and safe patient care environment.
