Note:
To be considered, applicants must be a legal resident of the State of New York. This is part-time in-person for Summer 2024.

The program will start Monday, July 8th and conclude Thursday, August 1st._**Are you interested in a career that makes a difference in the lives of students in your area? If so, Learn It Systems is looking for a part time Licensed School Counselor to work in our K-8 classrooms.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor and educators. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality education to students in a small group learning environment.

As an Academic School Counselor you will work on a one-on-one basis or in small groups providing classroom guidance and promoting student engagement and performance.

Academic School Counselors will be a part of a team that works with students who qualify for Title I assistance.

Responsibilities include consulting and developing rapport with parents, classroom teachers, school principal and other school personnel on a regular basis.

Working to keep an open line of communication available at all times and provide local resources to the school staff and parents as needed.

PAY:
$35 - $40/hr

Qualifications:

IN PERSON

School counseling licensure required or Social Worker
A minimum of 5 years' experience preferred
Experience working with Title I students a plus
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Work location is in a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairs
Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head
Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer
