Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Represent SCH in the community, corporate and referral environments.
- Work with other members of the management team to assure successful communication and coordination between all SCH's programs, and participate in strategic planning.
- Maintain inventory and Purchasing
- Collect all completed intake paperwork, copy of insurance card and drivers license/ID from patient before assessment appointment.
- Complete file in Electronic Medical Record, scan all intake paperwork along with insurance card and drivers license/ID, upload into Electronic Medical Record.
- Set up Insurance payer with information received. Review and update patient profile according to paperwork completed.
- Set up new patient account in CollaborateMD. Add insurance information, check eligibility in system to ensure insurance is active.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience with Electronic Health Records Management
- Experience working in crisis setting with individuals and families
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, including Word and Excel, and the ability to learn billing software and electronic medical records
- Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, mail, etc.)
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Proficient in proofreading, spelling, grammar punctuation and math
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized databases
- Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multicultural, community based organization
- Understanding of SCH's mission and culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and patients in all circumstances
