AES operates from 4 fabrication facility locations across the nation to better serve customers and reduce shipping costs and lead times.

    Job Description

    A Material Handler (I) at Lennox AES in Weatherford, TX, is in charge of the efficient and organized movement of materials, products, and goods within our production facility. They are also responsible for packaging and crate building, playing a vital role in supporting production and ensuring timely distribution of materials.

    The Compensation for this position is $18 per hour to start (with a chance for 10-15 hours of Overtime weekly).

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
    • Prepare shipments for delivery with proper documentation.
    • Assist in organizing and maintaining storage areas for efficient material handling.
    • Report any damaged or defective items, coordinating with relevant personnel.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding material needs, shortages, changes, or issues.
    • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and report problems.
    • Provide cross-training and support in different areas based on workload.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • Requires a high school diploma or a similar level of education and experience.
    • Prior experience in manufacturing or construction.
    • Preferably forklift experience or the ability to get certified.
    • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
    • Knowledge of production facility workflow.
    • Understanding of wood design and pallet design principles.
    • 1-2 years of experience in wood cutting and/or pallet making is beneficial.
    • Proficiency with Miter, Circular Saws, and Nail Gun.

    Qualifications:

    • Capable of standing for extended periods.
    • Able to train and support the training of others.
    • Competent in reading and using a tape measure.
    • Skilled in using hand and power tools, such as wood cutting saws (miter/circular).
    • Possesses a positive attitude, values teamwork.
    • Able to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
