- Advises and assists IT and company level executives in establishing effective information security governance.
- Develop strategic and tactical IT security plans to achieve governance directed goals and objectives.
- Develop, or assist development, of corporate security policies.
- Maintain updated IT information security policies and procedures.
- Assure proactive security monitoring of the company network, computer systems, applications, and critical assets to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Perform ongoing threat assessment. Apply understanding of network threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation to analyze threats and respond with appropriate defensive measures and controls.
- Assures effective operations and processes of our security operations center (SOC).
- Provides leadership for SOC processes, operations, and management reporting.
- Maintains a security risk register and manages issues to resolution.
- Maintains and renews information security incident response plans annually.
- Advise and assist in development of company crisis response plans as related to elevated security incidents.
- Develop cybersecurity incident response playbooks based upon best practices that ensure comprehensive threat mitigation.
- Performs post incident analysis to drive continuous improvement in security.
- Provide incident investigation reports and communications to the company's executive leadership.
- Manage and help expand the company's security capabilities, tools and vendors.
- Provides leadership in establishing company wide ongoing security awareness training.
- Aid with role based security implementation across applications.
- Works cross IT to assure security advised system change.

Description
The Information Security Manager is responsible for maintaining and executing all aspects of the company's information security program in accordance with recognized industry best practices and standards. Leads the IT Security team in planning, project execution, and security operations to achieve results. Routinely evaluates company information security risk posture and effectiveness of system defenses and controls. Develops and presents security metrics to accurately reflect overall IT security status and progress against governance approved objectives. Proactively stays abreast of evolving threat landscape and adjusts security measures and controls accordingly. Works collaboratively with IT Infrastructure and applications teams for coordinated project activity. Develops financial plans and budgets as directed. Manages staff and performs supervisory duties in compliance with company policy.
