General Machinist II:
MON-FRI, FLEXIBLE SATURDAYSPAY RATE:
22.00 Hr. REQUIRED SKILLSMust be able to read blueprints, drawings, charts & tables. Needs to be able to edit programs and write simple programs. Needs to work to dimensions and tolerances provided by blueprints. Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools. Monitor speed and feed of machines during the machining process. Able to edit programs and write simple programs. Must have both CNC and Manual experience. Prefer them to have both FANUC and HAAS controls for Lathes. The types of machines we have are HAAS CNC Lathes, FEMCO CNC Lathes, CHEVALIER CNC Lathes, heavy industrial environment.
This is an apprentice level position.
Working under the supervision of the Manufacturing Lead and/or the Manufacturing Supervisor, the General Machinist II sets up and operates machine tools and fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools or machines.
The General Machinist II works to the dimensions and tolerance of the piece to be machined and the sequence of operations and machines required by studying specifications such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts or a description of parts.
The General Machinist II plans and executes assignments using machine tools including boring tools, calipers, drilling machines, grinding machines, lathes, milling cutters, and workshop presses.
