- Maintain material forecasts that support the customer manufacturing requirement.
- Maintain scheduling spreadsheets and production charts.
- Maintain accurate lead time data by communication with purchasing and/or manufacturing.
- Assist in the detection of transaction control errors and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Supply data to the production team on material availability and/or conditions affecting production continuity.
- Monitor inventory levels to meet planned inventory goals.
- Develop and issue materials and parts requisitions.
- Run shortage reports and work with purchasing to ensure parts are available to meet production demands.
- Analyze capacity requirements and provide input to the production planning manager and production supervisor to resolve the issue or escalate as needed to ensure on-time deliveries
- Utilize ERP system to generate assembly work orders.
- Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for marshaling.
- Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages.
- Coordinate/expedite assembly build plans to ensure schedules are achieved.
- Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime.
- Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
- Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.
- Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.
- Prior experience as a planner in the industry preferred
- Good understanding of the market trends and conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office user
- Oracle Software user
- MRP experience preferred
- 4-year Degree or relevant work experience- planning and manufacturing.
