Growing meat product distribution company located in City of Industry is looking to hire a Production Planning Lead to join their team.

This role plays a pivotal role in assisting the
Product Planning Manager in both production scheduling and export operations, ensuring seamless coordination between customer service, production, and export departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production and Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Production Planning Manager to establish efficient production schedules that prioritize customer orders while maximizing output.
- Supervise and optimize materials inventories, including meat, ingredients, and packaging, through effective communication with the purchasing team.
- Maintain finished goods inventory levels in alignment with customer demand, coordinating closely with the Production Department.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent waste and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Continuously evaluate and propose improvements to production schedules to enhance capacity and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations by managing the shelf life of raw materials and finished goods.
- Export Operations:
- Execute required export documentation for multiple accounts in a highly timesensitive environment.
- Obtain export certificates from relevant government agencies and ensure compliance with customs and export regulations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control department to verify export documents and ensure accuracy.
- Audit export files for compliance and maintain documentation in the database.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange freight and resolve any issues related to freight claims.
- Oversee shipping processes to ensure adherence to internal policies, including FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Customer Service Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Customer Service division, assigning tasks and reviewing the work of staff.
- Foster a highperformance, customer serviceoriented environment to achieve departmental goals.
- Handle complex customer account issues and delinquency problems with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Maintain the daily schedule to ensure complete coverage for customer service activities.
- Develop and implement quality assurance tools to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
- Conduct formal performance appraisals and participate in personnel actions, including training and disciplinary measures.
Performance Requirements:
- Fulltime position with a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to all company personnel and safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be able to distinguish colors accurately.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, inventory management, and/or export operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Canopy Software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of sales principles and customer service best practices.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and tools is desirable.
- Willingness to travel if required.
Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
