Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Jazz Dance Instructor to join our team.

As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance techniques and choreography to students of various ages and skill levels.

Your role will involve creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students can develop their dance skills and express their creativity.

Duties:

• Plan and deliver dance lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs of individual students
• Teach students various dance styles, main focus is Jazz.
• Demonstrate dance moves and techniques to students, providing clear instructions and corrections
• Choreograph dance routines for performances, recitals, or competitions
• Organize and lead rehearsals to ensure students are wellprepared for performances
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves through dance
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate events, performances, and workshops

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or in a related role is preferred
• Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
• Experience working with children or in early childhood education is highly desirable
• Familiarity with childhood development principles is a plus
• Ability to sew costumes or create props is an asset
• Knowledge of culinary arts for potential themed dance classes is beneficial
• Experience in special education or behavior management is advantageous

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, to effectively teach dance techniques
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
• Strong organizational skills for managing class schedules, rehearsals, and performances
• Creativity in choreographing unique and captivating dance routines
• Patience and empathy when working with students of all ages and skill levels
• Ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive manner
• Basic photography skills for capturing memorable moments during performances
• Classroom management skills to maintain a focused and productive learning environment
