Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Review medical documents to validate billing codes are supported by the documentation provided
• Support the billing workflows by monitoring pre

- and post-billing reports to guarantee the precision of data input.

• Ensure completed claims are compliant with organizational guidelines and within required timeframes
• Provide support for resubmission guidelines as necessary
• Track and manage and report monthly claims submissions and outcomes
• Support clinical staff by arranging for training sessions, communication, staff meetings, supplies and resources.
• Serve as the centralized agent to handle and route any escalated issues.
• Ensure internal timeframes are monitored and met for the quality clinical review between the Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner

• Maintain compliance with all coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD10CM, CPT, and HCPCS
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential coding errors or discrepancies
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Certified Risk Coding Certification, preferred
• College degree in related field, preferred
• Proven experience in HCC coding
• Indepth knowledge of ICD10CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Proficient in using coding software and related tools
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
