Facility Maintenance

Little Water Prep is seeking two reliable, self-reliant part-time custodians. Custodians are responsible for overall cleanliness and other miscellaneous duties in the school building. The custodians report to the Director of Operations.

The Custodians will be responsible for carrying out duties that are necessary for the health, safety and security of the students and staff members in the building.

This is for 2 part-time positions

Monday - Friday

1st shift (9am-1pm) - CLOSED

2nd Shift (2pm-6pm) - OPEN

Start date - ASAP

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list is intended to be illustrative rather than complete, and serves to show major duties and responsibilities of a Facilities Maintenace Worker at Little Water Preparatory Charter School.

Replace fixtures and tiles as needed
Snow removal / grounds maintenance
Support with plumbing issues as they arise
Clean offices, meeting rooms and recreational facilities
Wash and disinfect all bathroom floors, hand dryers and fixtures
Sweep & mop floors
Clean all mirrors
Replenish tissue and soap as needed
Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans
Place garbage in outside storage bin
Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardware
Keep the outside area near the exit and entrance clear of snow, cans, paper, etc.
Clean, wash and disinfect drinking fountains
Wash all finger marks from walls, doors, hardware and glass
Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs
Clean kitchen sinks and counters
Report damages and acts of vandalism

Job Requirements:

Must have High School Diploma/GED
Must be able to operate and maintain all custodial equipment and materials used
Must be proficient in safety requirements for custodial equipment
Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs
Some weekend work is required
Experience as a custodian preferred
