- Cold calling experience; previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales, or related sales experience; knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close.

For over 50 years, we have fulfilled this goal by striving for 25,000 participants annually and serving more than one million students and teachers across the country through experiential travel programs, virtual programs, professional development for educators, and classroom resources designed to empower young people for a lifetime of active citizenship.
Position Overview | Close Up is looking for a business development representative with a can-do mindset and a passion for creating new opportunities. This highly motivated individual will uncover new sales opportunities and form new partnerships primarily with schools and school districts. This person should be innovative and determined to create strategies that highlight Close Up's offerings to the right audience. The sales development representative will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management. They will research referral, network, and web leads, and provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered and additional presentations as needed. They will partner with clients to generate solutions for their civic education needs and consulting throughout the sales process. This person must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales that increase revenue.
