    OPEXUS, a leading provider of GovTech case management software, is adding to our Business Development team to help generate new business opportunities and drive growth for our software products. The Business Development Representatives are a key component of our Go-to-Market team and will work closely with sales and marketing to drive the sales process from start to finish.


    The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving growth for our software products. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new leads, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving the sales process. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to create and execute targeted campaigns and collaborate with product development to ensure our software solutions meet the needs of our customers. We are looking for talented, goal-oriented individuals who are passionate about making government work more efficiently and effectively to help take us to our next stage of growth. Ideal candidates are excellent communicators, detail-oriented, success-oriented, and fast learners.

    Location: Washington, DC with Hybrid Telework Available

    General Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Identify and qualify new leads and opportunities through research, cold calling, and email outreach.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target accounts.
    • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to drive awareness and interest in our software solutions with sales and marketing teams to develop and refine our go-to-market strategy.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
    • Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and stay up-to-date on industry trends.

    Required Skills:

    • Minimum of 3 months experience in software sales, business development, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and articulate complex software solutions.
    • Experience with CRM systems, sales automation tools, and other sales and marketing technologies.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree – Business, Sales, Marketing, English, or a related field
