- Developing mechanical components and assemblies for next gen BESS
- Designing, prototyping, testing & validating products into production / sustaining
- Collaborating with the design studio, hw engr, mfg engr, quality, operations
- Delivering solutions optimized for form, function, quality, cost, and experience
- Ensuring solutions are manufacturable, serviceable, and compliant
- Sharing knowledge across the team, and contributing to processes definition
- Solving electro-mechanical integration challenges related to:
- Thermal management
- Electrical isolation
- Interconnects
- EMI/EMC
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with strong fundamentals
- Minimum 5 years of industry mechanical design experience
- Experience developing multiple products from architecture into mass production
- Experience in selection of common engineering materials
- Experience in design for manufacturability, and design for assembly
- Experience with validation testing, product reliability, and failure analysis
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred, others accepted)
- Proficiency in 2D drafting, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
- Familiarity with mass production, 6 sigma, inspection & measurement
- Expertise in 3 or more mass production processes such as:
- Stamping / Sheet metal / welding
- Textures & cosmetic part finishes
- Tooling & fixturing
- Injection molding
- CNC machining
- Extrusion
- Turning
- Casting
* - Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Record bringing multiple quality products from development into production
- Experience designing solutions for battery energy storage systems
- Experience designing for automotive or NEMA/IP rated products
- Experience with UL 9540A regulatory requirements and testing
- Experience in rapid prototyping (3D printing, quick-turn mockups)
- Experience with structural FEA and ability to perform simulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What You Will Be Doing
