JOB SUMMARY
Lead Parts Specialists lead the Branch Parts Department in all daily functions.
Direct & maintain the daily activities of the branch parts department while operating within all policies & procedures of the company.
Ensure high customer satisfaction. Maintain high levels of communication between customers & the Parts, Service, & Sales departments.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Customer Support Specialist with the quoting process, customer updates, possible leads, etc.
- Monitor all parts orders & follow up on back ordered parts as required to insure timely delivery to the customer, (OTC, Service, & Sales Dept.).
- Create an atmosphere of high "Safety First Awareness".
- Maintain a clean, wellorganized parts department to include the warehousing of parts, the parts counter area, & the customer/display areas.
- Work together with the inventory control manager ensuring that stocking levels remain acceptable, returns are properly accounted for, & ongoing cycle counts are completed.
- Communicate directly with all upper management as required to harmonize the goals of the company.
- Assist branch parts counter person to achieve high levels of accuracy regarding parts lookup & identification, order processing, receiving, freight recovery & invoicing procedures.
- Preserve & maintain an open atmosphere of trust, communication & cooperation throughout the local branch parts department as well as all other company wide branch departments & employees.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
- A good working knowledge of operating a Parts Department.
- Strong organizational, communication, & decisionmaking skills.
- A high level of parts knowledge.
- Leadership ability in motivating customer satisfaction, management / employee participation, & safety awareness, etc.
- This position requires completing & maintaining all available safety certifications made available by management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
