- Billing and Collections: Organize and perform specified billing tasks for the company, including customer statements and collections follow-up. Maintain an organized billing process throughout the month.
- Revenue Recognition: Apply revenue recognition procedures following company policies.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring proper documentation and organization of financial records related to revenue.
- Month-end and Year-end Close: Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Financial Controls: Prepare work in line with established financial controls.
- Audit Preparation: Compile documents and schedules for external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation.
- Support: Back-up other positions within the accounting department and mentor junior staff.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3+ years of experience.
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Workday experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.

We're Hiring a Staff Accountant:
We are searching for skilled and motivated professionals eager to contribute to the success of independent hospitals. About the Position:
The Staff Accountant role, reporting to the Revenue Manager, involves overseeing specified billing and collections activities for the company. This position may include handling payment posting, account reconciliations, preparing reports, and supporting the annual audit process. Additionally, the role may encompass special projects and providing backup within the department as needed. It is a hybrid position based at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN.
