    Global Hospitality, a Los Angeles–based executive search firm, is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a prestigious, world-class hospitality company in Japan.

    We are seeking an accomplished Pastry Chef to lead a large-scale, high-volume, multi-outlet pastry operation at a flagship luxury property in Japan.

    This is a rare opportunity for an internationally experienced pastry leader to build and elevate a refined dessert program in one of the world's most dynamic culinary markets.

    Position Details


    • Based in Japan


    • Local employment package (not expat)


    • Full Japanese employment benefits (medical, pension, commuting allowance)

    Key Responsibilities


    • Lead all pastry and bakery operations across fine dining, a la carte, banquets, and specialty outlets


    • Develop seasonally driven, luxury-level dessert programs


    • Oversee bread, laminated dough, chocolate, and plated dessert execution


    • Implement strong systems for quality control, consistency, and cost management


    • Mentor, and lead a high-performing pastry team


    • Manage budgeting, labor, and inventory with financial discipline

    Ideal Profile

    • Strong classical foundation with modern creativity


    • Experience in complex, high-volume environments


    • Proven leadership and team development skills


    • Strong financial and operational acumen
