About us

A 76-year-old independent property & casualty claims adjusting company serving the US Southeast Region. We are looking for an experienced casualty claims adjuster to join our Nashville, TN office. As a Senior Casualty Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex automobile accidents, property damage, and bodily injury claims.

All applicants must have at least 5 years of field experience in handling general liability claims. This is not a desk-adjusting position.

Applicants must have primary residence within the state of Tennessee. Out-of-state applicants will be rejected.

Compensation corresponding to experience.

Responsibilities

Investigate claims to determine liability and scope of damages
Conduct interviews with witnesses, policyholders, and third-party claimants
Use in-depth knowledge of insurance policies to evaluate coverage and determine appropriate compensation
Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims and payments
Negotiate settlements with claimants or their legal representatives
Work closely with other departments, such as legal and medical, to gather information related to claims
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all claims-related activities

Requirements:

This is a field adjusting position
Must reside within the state of Tennessee and able to commute to Nashville office daily
Minimum 5 years casualty claims adjusting experience
Extremely dependable and self-motivated
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prepare full captioned reports
Current Kentucky State Adjuster's License
Strong Planning and organizational skills
Valid driver's license & reliable method of transportation
Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, digital camera and/or smartphone, digital recorder
Prior independent experience is preferred
Experience in writing detailed reports
A compassionate and resilient personality
High school diploma.

Pay: $60, $80,000.00 per year
