Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Required.
- Minimum two years administrative support experience. Some knowledge of risk management/corporate compliance in a medical facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of New York State Department of Health and/or HRSA FQHC regulations a huge plus.
- Investigatory experience a plus and knowledge of medical billing/coding a plus.
- Excellent word processing, data entry, spreadsheet, and data base management skills
- Ability to work independently and willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Quality & Compliance Officer (CQCO & QAO), the individual will provide support for daily activities and projects of the Quality & Compliance Compliance department.
Essential Functions:
- Responds to internal and external requests for medical records. Ensuring requests meet all HIPAA standards for the release of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- In conjunction with the CCC&QAO, ensures that the Organization is in compliance with all Federal Health Resource Services Administration (HRSA) regulations as well as NYS and NYC Department of Health regulations.
- In conjunction with the CCC&QAO, sends out the monthly Quality reports and gaps in care reports and follows up appropriately on any action plans. Reports the updates back to CCC&QAO
- Assists with tracking of date sensitive activities within the Organization.
- Maintains document revisions.
- Responsible for data entry and filing of all compliance related activities.
- Responds to patient complaints, as assigned by Chief Quality & Compliance Officer. Follows up on complaints and confers with administrative staff on a need to know basis.
- Assists Chief Quality & Compliance Officer with investigations regarding incidents that occur within the Organization.
- Supports and maintains documentation related to Compliance Department activities.
- Creates and updates reports, forms, tables, graphs, databases and spreadsheet as requested and required.
- Administrative responsibilities including filing, faxing, database and word processing functions.
Pay:
$40, $55,000.00 per year
