Description

The Human Resources Coordinator role is an integral part of the HR team, supporting a variety of work in the daily operations of the Human Resources department including but not limited to interviewing, recruiting, completing background checks, etc.

The HR Coordinator must have a welcoming demeanor, can multi-task, and enforces company policies and practices.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Serve as the onboarding point of contact, facilitates the new hire orientation, and supports new employees' transition into Dimondale.
  • Creates and maintains new hire files and verify documents.
  • May be required to attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provide backup support to the front desk for lunchtime or sick days, as needed.
  • Prepares correspondence, schedule meetings and interviews.
  • Maintains employee records, personnel, training, etc.
  • Assist HR team members and office/field employees and provide general administrative support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills Required:


  • Associate degree or higher preferred

1+ years of intern or professional experience in a human resources role.

Minimum 6 months of recruiting experience.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and pitch in as needed.
  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with MS Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirement

  • Dimondale staff are required to be certified in Pro-ACT (Professional Assault Crisis Training) within one month of being hired, by Dimondale's certified Pro-ACT Instructor. All Pro-ACT trained staff have demonstrated a full understanding of the guidelines and meet the standard put forth in the training, resulting in their certification in Pro-ACT and/or Pro-ACT restraints.

What Pro ACT Entails:


Pro-ACT will describe the principles needed for the de-escalation of a youth in crisis, as trained staff aid the youth back to their baseline.

In the event restraint assistance is needed, only Pro-ACT trained staff can perform a restraint based on the following criteria:


  • There is a crisis, harm to self or harm to others.
  • Ratio is met; two Pro-ACT trained staff required to perform the restrain.
  • Staff are able to safely enter into the restraint and maintain the safety of all party's involved.
