    Job Title:
    UX Engineer - Design System Specialist

    Plano TX or Phoenix, AZ (2 days week onsite)

    Overview :
    We are seeking a highly skilled UX Engineer with a focus on building design system components.

    As a Design System Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience by developing and maintaining a robust design system.

    Your expertise in TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, Design Tokens, CSS3 e.g. FlexBox and Grid, and StoryBook will be instrumental in creating scalable and consistent user interfaces.


    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and developers, to understand design requirements and implement scalable design system components.
    • Develop reusable UI components using TypeScript and React, ensuring a seamless integration with existing applications.
    • Implement and maintain a design system that promotes consistency, accessibility, and efficiency in UI development.
    • Utilize Tailwind CSS for efficient styling and theming, following best practices for maintainability and scalability.
    • Implement token systems to manage and maintain a consistent design language across various applications.
    • pply expertise in Grid CSS and FlexBox to create responsive and adaptive layouts.
    • Use StoryBook to document and showcase design system components, making it easy for team members to understand and utilize them.
    • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate design system components into the overall application architecture.
    • ctively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
    • Implement breakpoints and adhere to mobile-first responsive design principles.
    • Explore the potential adoption of CSS-in-JS, such as Emotion, for future framework considerations.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a UX Engineer with a focus on building design system components.
    • Proficiency in TypeScript and React for developing scalable and maintainable UI components.
    • Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS for efficient and responsive styling.
    • Experience implementing token systems to manage design consistency.
    • Expertise in CSS3 e.g. FlexBox and Grid.
    • Familiarity with StoryBook for documenting and showcasing design system components.
    • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
    • Excellent collaboration with UX Designers and Technologists with excellent communication skills.
    • GitHub repository with examples of design system components and related projects.
