Job Title- R&D Technician/Laboratory
Location- Columbus, Ohio, Zip Code: 43219
Duration – Minimum 12 months
Pay rate - $24 per hour
Welcoming recent graduates or those close to graduation.
Duties: Assistance in developing nutritional liquid and powder products.
- Production in Pilot Plant facilities (performing batch calculations, creating manufacturing instructions, ordering and weighing ingredients, preparing batches for processing and packaging).
- Coordinating analytical product testing (developing testing protocols, managing purchase orders, summarizing test results, converting units).
- Carrying out product assessments (studies on powder oxidation and scoop delivery, in-process tests on pH, viscosity, and total solids).
- Sharing experiment findings (tabulating data, compiling bills of materials, summarizing manufacturing runs).
Skills:
- Food product development
- Analytical skills
- Laboratory background
- Relevant expertise (academic courses or work background)
- Experience working in a team environment
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science is preferred, although any Science field (Engineering, Biology, Chemistry) will be considered. Candidates with an Associate's degree and applicable work experience will also be reviewed. Open to recent graduates or those nearing graduation.
Interview: In-person interviews are preferred, but open to using Teams if necessary.
