    General Summary:


    Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for the implementation of the Sourcing Strategies and tactical execution of procurement related activities for his/her assigned commodity groups.

    This role includes the direct management of a team of highly skilled strategic sourcing leaders, tactical buyers and project engineers.

    This position will also be required to influence a broad cross functional team which will support activities such as new product introduction, obsolescence and risk management.


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    the development and oversee implementation of the Strategic Sourcing initiatives that enable short and long term Business Unit Objectives to be achieved.

    Management Planning/Execution
    of supplier source selection and cost/quality/delivery analysis
    Improvement and Cost Reduction
    / Design Change Management
    Product Development Activities
    of Inventory Management and Procurement Methodologies
    direct management and oversight of tactical activities associated with assigned Commodities, Service, or General Procurement Functions.
    assignment and delegation of day-to-day procurement related tasks
    business metrics to evaluate Supplier Performance, Supply Chain Efficiency, Product Quality and overall Cost Effectiveness of sourcing activities
    and implement corrective action plans to resolve product quality, performance, delivery and cost related issues
    routine supplier business reviews, performance evaluations, and audit compliance with Honda Aircraft Supplier Requirements Manual
    and approve Supply Chain documentation, deliverables, and business critical decisions.
    for Quote/Proposal Packages, Purchase Orders, and Invoices
    Plan, Supplier/Vendor Selections, and Logistics
    Negotiation and Project Management Plans
    Integrated Product Teams through a variety of cross functional project activities
    Product and Supplier Development Activities
    Recovery (Delivery, Quality, and In-Service Issues)
    Improvement Initiatives
    with internal/external Leadership Teams and facilitate the exchange of business critical information, strategies, issues, and actions plans.

    Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
    to 15 years combined experience in any of the following areas:
    Chain, Manufacturing Planning or Logistics Management
    Manufacturing, Quality, or Operations Engineering
    Product Development, and/or Project Management
    years' experience within aerospace industry, preferred
    of Science in engineering or supply chain discipline required; Master's degree highly preferred.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    have workable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
    oral and written communication skills required
    sourcing capabilities with established records


    Physical Requirements:
    may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.

    may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

    in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).

    hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
    and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
    communicate in Business English language.
