DESCRIPTION
A Tool Builder will assist in the build of customized general assembly tooling. Special machine building activities will include primarily mechanical assembly, pneumatic and basic electrical plumbing and wiring.
A machine builder will support the machine building process through the de-bug and acceptance testing, up to and including potential on-site customer installations and start-up support.
A Tool Builder must be professional, proactive and positive when interacting with customers. Our goal is not to meet expectations. Our goal is to exceed expectations and ensure our customers receive an exceptional experience at Invio Automation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Building and upgrading checking fixtures, jigs, gauges, and pneumatic fixtures to specifications.
Interpretation of blueprints, sketches, specifications and general instructions from Lead Builder.
Review engineering information, tool design drawings and other requirements to determine methods and sequence of operations to fabricate tools.
Ability to set details.
Use of hand tools, power tools, machines and various shop equipment.
Hand plumbing or pipe fitting of tools.
Provide onsite support to our customers as needed.
Work with mechanical design team to create new or modify existing controls systems.
Must be able to travel within the continental US, Mexico and Canada.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive, with internal and external customers and coworkers.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to design and incorporate various controls components
Ability to troubleshoot existing installations.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and software programs.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and RSLogix 5000 preferred.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written skills.
Ability to prioritize and work with limited supervision.
Ability to explain how and why specific conclusions were reached.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.
EDUCATION
Prefer an Associate's degree in electrical technology, manufacturing or a related field, AND at least three years of related experience.
