The company also operates AMC Studios, our inhouse studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fanfavorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
  • We are currently seeking a Planner, Media Sales to join our ad sales team based in our Santa Monica, California office.


  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, assist in sellthrough, and management of crossplatform media plans
  • Assist in pricing negotiations between the AMCN Pricing & Planning Team and the agency/client for all upfront and scatter buys; maximize revenue potential
  • Track campaign delivery and proactively execute solutions for any liability or overdelivery
  • Oversee and assist in the execution of both onair and digital marketing campaigns from the initial pitch stage to the final activation
  • Assist Commercial Revenue Sales teams and Pricing & Planning Team in ad hoc projects and analyses
  • Work closely with Ad Ops/Comm Ops departs regarding the timing, execution, and expected delivery of all elements to meet the log deadlines
  • Work with Sales and the client to resolve deal billing issues & discrepancies
  • Mentor & participate in the development of Sales Assistants
  • Support Ad Sales Team with growth generation and new business prospecting; work with crossfunctional teams (i.e. Research and Integrated Marketing) to create sellable offerings and drive revenueQUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1.5+ years of prior agency or media sales experience.
  • Wellorganized and able handle multiple tasks with acute attention to detail
  • Fosters teamwork
  • Brings a spirit of curiosity and inclusion
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Communicates effectively between internal and external counterparts
  • Knowledge of media math (CPM, reweights, rating calculations)
  • Ability to work with sales planning and post systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
