Description
Associate Director, Policy and Programs - Stanford Law School School of Law, Stanford, California, United States Administration Nov 10, 2023 Post Date 101387 Requisition #The Center
Through a multidisciplinary approach to teaching, research, and policy, the Rhode Center works to make civil justice more equitable, accessible, and transparent and to promote the legal profession's commitment to the public interest.
In recent years, the Rhode Center has, among other things, established an interstate collaboration designed to improve access to online filing; convened scholars, practitioners, and judges to discuss multidistrict litigation and access to justice; pioneered new courses for law students; and published original research regarding digital courts, the regulation of lawyers, and judicial management of mass torts.
The Role
The Associate Director will assist the Center Co-Directors and Executive Director to formulate, implement, and administer the vision, strategy, and goals of the Center, reporting directly to the Executive Director. This may involve student-facing activities (e.g., involvement in leading courses and managing the Center's Civil Justice Fellowship), original research (independently and with collaborators), and planning and oversight of convenings and other gatherings. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable balancing competing priorities, driving forward research and programmatic goals, and collaborating with others inside and outside of Stanford.
