Description
The Distribution Data Analyst is responsible for working closely with leaders in the organization to understand data needs and work in partnership with other team members to develop efficient means to capture, analyze and report key information.
This role is also responsible for using this data to develop our internal strategy and the quality performance/customer satisfaction. This role will report to the Regional Director of Quality.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collects, cleanses, manipulates, and validates data from multiple platforms/systems
Analyzes and converts data into information to identify areas of opportunity or to support business cases
Defines data and/or report requirements in collaboration with operational areas
Partners with IT programmers to develop output to meet business needs
Supports daily/weekly performance reviews and planning meetings as needed
Assists with process creation and methods to gather supply chain data
Assists with action item follow-up; if needed, escalates issues appropriately for resolution
Translate quantitative and qualitative data into useful information
Understand and explain interdependencies of information and events, including their up/downstream impact
Provide internal Quality team with accurate data on business performance; summarize, develop conclusions and identify opportunities to achieve desired performance
Ability to develop recommendations through analyzing data.
Active part of the data analytics team to develop metric processes and tools, analyze trends, and report out performance for corrective action review.
Ability to utilize a structured process of collecting and analyzing information (investigative skills)
Ability to simplify complex processes by systematically organizing the parts of a problem or situation in a logical manner
Ability to clarify assumptions and constraints for expectation/output alignment
Ability to work with very large amounts of data from multiple sources
Working knowledge of data mining and reporting tools
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Effective time management skills; ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously
Interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex ideas simply and clearly to all levels
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated Flexibility, Initiative and Collaboration skills required.
Requirements:
College Degree required
3 plus years' experience working in corporate or distribution environment.
Transportation, Distribution, Supply Chain industry a plus.
Excellent excel and access skills with an emphasis on business statistics.
